Netherlands, Berg en Terblijt. the Nightwatch Guild (Nachtwacht Gilde) brings a life the famous Rembrandt's 1642 masterpiece 'The Nightwatch'. The Nightwatch was the company of Frans Banning Cocq and Willem Ruytenburgh and the member's costumes are close replica's of the uniformsand accessoiries depicted on the Nightwatch. With the help of a ground sheet on which the positions of the militia members are drawn, the group take up their posts at lightning speed- and stay frozen to the spot for a minute just like the figures in Rembrandt's masterpiece. This has brought the Guild international renown.
