Miller working at his mill
Netherlands, Schiedam. Miller working (Hoisting big bags of flour) at windmill 'De Nieuwe Palmboom'. The windmills in Schiedam are the highest windmills of the world. Schiedam had 20 windmills build for the grinding of grain needed for the distillation of gin. The mills were build at the edge of the town and to catch as much wind as possible, they were made to stand high above the city and the warehouses. Nowadays only 5 windmills are left, but they are the highest windmills in the world.
